I have completed this page for Eileen who is in the lace journal round robin I talked about in January. I really love the wedding theme I used as the inspiration. So much lace and beads. I am a bit of a traditionalist because I hand sewed each bead and dollie. Makes it more time consuming but I just personally like the idea of thread vs glue. Now that does not mean one is better then the other. It is just a personal thing.
This is what I mailed off today. To Sox which is the next stop of the journey for this journal.
This is the first page. The rhinestones are from an old friend who gave them to my sister when she passed away. Since Jill did not know what to do with them she sent them to me. Thank Sherri.
When you open the page the left side is an envelope made from an old hanky. Inside are 7 little envelopes filled with love quotes from William Shakespear. The right side is the sleeve from an old wedding dress given to my from Elena a dear friend who is also in this round robin.
This is the last page, I hand sewed each pearl then stamped the tag that says remember.
Now this is a sneek peek of a gift I made Sox for her birthday. Again the inspiration came from pinterest and I beleive Pat Winter's board jewelry. When I saw it I knew I wanted to make one. I plan on making a few more. They are so much fun; but frustrating because I have never made anything like it before. But, that is the point try something new. I hope you like it Sox.
Have a wonderful day full of creating something beautiful and new
